About
I am a fullstack software engineer graduated from IFBA (Instituto Federal da Bahia). Before pivoting into software engineering, I studied graphic design because of my deep fondness for the visual arts. Today, I actively bridge both worlds by studying UI/UX design paradigms, ensuring that the systems I build are not just architecturally sound, but visually excellent and highly tactile.
On the engineering side, I operate across the entire stack. I handle frontend development, backend logic, database modeling, and devops integration, and I frequently prototype interface designs in Figma before writing the first line of code. Angular has been the primary framework throughout my career, but I also build heavily with React, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS, utilizing relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Recently, I have been channeling my focus into AI engineering and advanced code architecture—actively studying and applying these modern systems in my projects. I work with modular software architecture patterns, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAGs) to construct intelligent, context-aware web solutions.
Beyond the IDE, I am driven by a lifelong dream to travel the world—which is the main catalyst behind my relentless pursuit of self-improvement and career growth. To prepare for my future journeys, I spend my free time studying foreign languages. My other hobbies include reading books that teach me new things, and playing video games, particularly those with rich narratives and deep world-building.
Changelog
Lately, I've been refining the writing across the site to make it feel more like me, talking about what I did and why I did it rather than just listing features. It felt right to rewrite the Saffira blog posts from a first-person perspective, sharing the raw decisions behind the BroadcastChannel synchronization and feature-first architecture refactoring, and linking them directly inside the Aton case study under a new 'Engineering notes' section.
I also built a dedicated Books section. Reading has always been a major gateway for my self-improvement, and I wanted a place to catalog what's currently on my desk. I set up visual circular progress gauges to track my reading velocity, populated it with the books I have on my drive, and left *AI Engineering* by Chip Huyen as my active focus.
